New DOT Release

On the 26th, Stardoll released a mini DOT collection. It's been a while since we've seen anything new from this store, since it seems as if Stardoll has been focusing more on their newest cosmetic brand Transform. With this long awaited comeback, you'd think Stardoll had something extraordinary planned. Something unique, catastrophic, show-stopping, or something... pink?

The new release is nothing short of a complete and utter disappointment. As for the vast selection of colour (sarcasm STRONGLY intended), it was a feeble attempt at making something universally wearable. Pink is considered a flesh colour, perfect for cosmetics and pale skin tones, but it is also considered the most overused colour in cosmetic history on this planet. Not only do I feel as if I have seen these products before, but this is what Stardoll felt we all deserved from the much anticipated DOT release.

The collection ranges from milky pinks to grey-toned, washed out darker pinks. All of these items had been seen before. I even have most of them in my own beauty parlor. The only thing, in my humble opinion, worth your hard earned Stardollars is the 'Deep Pink Eyeshadow'. Not only is this seen before in beauty parlors across Stardoll, but 10th page of DOT hosts the same bland shades of a colour that is all too familiar. Stardoll tends to copy A LOT from their other brands. The DOT 'Summer' collection that was released in Summer 2014 is the same as Transform's "Carnival" collection. It's all just a money grab.

So, with this disappointing release, could it be that Stardoll has their focuses somewhere else? I don't know, it could be a decoy. New CP is coming out tomorrow, and we're awaiting an LE collection also.

Either way, this DOT release has been quite the disappointment and just a repeat of things already released. If you're a big makeup purchaser, then you certainly know what I am talking about. Stardoll has to come up with a new collection that has never been seen before. Something new, innovative and inspiring. What I really want to see is a lovely nude collection. Something that will compliment every skin tone on Stardoll.

The beauty parlor is completely in Stardoll's hands. They decide what gets sold, and we're just the mindless consumers. Give us something that will inspire us, Stardoll!

I rate this DOT Collection 2/5 stars.
